Default kinda discouraged..

well lately ive been using 87 oct. and i didnt think about it today bc before with 93 oct i did a nice 35 ft burn out. and today i wanted to show a friend what the tune could do.. he seen that stock it could only burn out for a few feet. so we do a couple of 20-60 mph punches. and i do have weight in tools but only like 200 lbs. So then i tried a burn out.. i stall up to 2k or w/e it is stock.. and i only burn out for maybe 5 ft or so.. i was embarrassed. and told him its probably bc of the **** gas ive been using.. bottom line is i think i shoulda went with wheatley instead or w4m. i think w4m only took out about 20 percent of tm.

after the lts and ory which im finally able to get im going to get it retuned with a lil less shift pressure and a lil more tm removed. no matter how much gas is gonna cost at the track i will use 93 with a 1/4 tank.

track will be in jan. any suggestions out there...

oh yea and btw i wish i woulda got a new duramax.. my friend is running low 13s with just exhaust and a chip.

one more question, does the ory pacesetter makes hook up to the stock exhaust (not headers, i mean after the Y)

thanks

that extra 200lbs of weight in a toolbox mounted in the bed could definitely be it. It doesn't seem like much, but it is. i wouldn't worry about your tune, if you want more power go get a real dynotune

I believe the headers are coated if you're talking about the pacesetters. I have them and love em. If you're wanting a cam just wait until you can dynotune it after install. The trailblazer tc is good depending on what cam you're wanting.
If I were you I'd do full boltons, gears, and then torque converter. Once you have the money for the cam and a dynotune do it together. It'll be done right the first time that way.

will the tranny hold up? with all this extra power, the gears, and the tc it might break quick?

yes and no. I would bet that it wouldn't have a whole lot of life if you dog it pretty good. Otherwise, I've seen guys on here that're still rockin the stock tranny with 50k+ on boost. If my tranny goes out I'm just taking the cam out and re-tuning before taking the truck back to the dealer lol

im moving in a year so i got to get as much done to my truck as i can right now, im saving money but when i move i wont be able to spend anything, u kno? so im just trying to get as much done now.. the headers/ory will for sure be ordered in the next few days to a week. then after the retune im going to do a little weight reduction and hit the track and hope for a 15.4 or so. then im gonna save for the gears(373s) and go back and hope to get a 15.1 or 15 flat.

i really hope this tranny will last. is it worth getting and oil cooler for it? they are only 100 bucks..

oh yea and about the dealer.. i have a vette servo so they might call me on that and say that i voided my warranty.
