how to reach 14's

Along with what Jake has said, I agrre with most of what he says here too. Save yourself a transmission and try to hook up with tires and 2WD without using 4WD. If you plan on doing transmission work, then preparing it for that kind of driving would be necessary if you want it to hold.
As for installing, there was a guy who was installing the stall on his TBSS and punctured some things and ended up costing him ALOT of money. Not trying to scare you, but I really wouldn't recommend doing it unless you are familiar with transmissions. Also, on top of the $300 cost of the stall, remember to factor in the cost of the cooler and then any installation you may need. I think a cooler will run you about $150.

I've heard him say it's REAL interesting during sideways burnouts in forward motion!
May have to try that one day.

thanks for the info on the stall. whats a good rpm range to look for since this is my daily driver....im really only looking to get this thing into mid/high 14's but since its an ext cab stnd bed 4x4, it will take some work

Like I said above, some of the bigger enthusiasts may go for a 3200-3600 stall, but unless you are serious about having a fast truck, then stay with the 2800

nonnieselman Got a 14.9 qtr with 140,000 miles on the clock and an exta cab. All he had a the time was EFI Live and he was tuning it himself. PM him and ask what he did. I thin he had some magnaflows as well.
