with my current mods in my sig the fastest i've run is a 15.1 and that's really not with any air/fuel tuning. i haven't installed my wideband yet so I have yet to tune the ve tables and everything. other than that the only things I have tuned on my truck is the transmission and that's it really. the best mod I've done was the longtubes and the wrap on the intake. 4.10's are in my near future. that and possibly an upgraded hptuners mpvi interface (i need to get the pro version).

well unless you're losing traction off the line I wouldn't even do it.

14.9 seems kinda high for a rcsb. iono...
I really wanna hit 14's as well, just a little tuning will do the trick. the 160 stat will help a bit
once I do the stat install and tune with my wideband Im gonna focus on the dune buggy.
genI sbc350 - fuel injected now

dont really know what u will need but register at rgvtrucks.sytes.net the is and ECSB 4.8 running low 15s since u have a 5.3 it should be easier w/ less mods...but i would say intake, spacer, e-fans it it dont come w/ it already, 3" y-pipe w/ cutout, longtube headers, posi w/ 3.73s or 4.10s, and of course and hptune...theres my .02 good luck w/ the search for low 14s

224/224 cam, intake (upd, volant, ect), LT, 3:73 or 4:10 gears, and a 2800 stall convertor, TUNE. A trailblazer convertor might even work.

Well, picking the 3.42 gear was a bad idea for that truck for sure. It would be good to know which 5.3L you have since there is an H.O. option. I'd recomend a shift kit and torque converter with a mild cam. That along with tuning, exhaust, and CAI should get you mid 14's.

I went consecutive 15.0's and a best of 14.98 with Magnaflow cat-back, AEM intake, and Hypertech HPPIII....here in Baltimore @ sea level. Added a Yank TT3000 and went consecutive 14.6x with a best of 14.57. All on the 5.3 w/ 3.42 gears. I'm 2wd tho.

I agree with the gears, tune and possibly the stall. Having the transmission tuned is a big deal on an auto, more so than most think and will make better use of those gears and mods you are doing to increase air flow.
