How does the 8100 like e-fans?
#1
I've been lusting after the Flex-a-lite dmax efan that blows some 6000 CFM. the dimensions are exactly the same as the 8100, so it should bolt right up. i'm not planning on racing the truck (very much), and it runs with a 2-3K trailer behind it about 50% of the time, sometimes as much as 8-10K, though that's not very often. I'm wanting to free up HP, but i don't want to do it by sacrificing engine cooling. OATs here in Granbury right now are around 100-105, so keep that in mind as well. how does the 8100 like e-fans? are they sufficient? any other 8100 owners on here w/ efans? thanks in advance-

Had e-fans on mine, worked great never really did any heavy towing though.
On mine I designed my own plate and waterjetting it out of alum. Then mounted 2 3300 cfm fans with a DCControl fan control unit. The only problem was, the fans that I bought were a junk brand(ZIRGO) and were out of balance. So you felt the fans spooling up.
I talked to the guy who sold me the fan control, I should of went with 2 Lincon Mark VIII fans. these are known to pull 4300 cfm min each!!
