Default Wake up an 8100

Want to make some power with my 8100. Have done the Westers and cold air intake. Thinking aluminum heads, cam, and intake if need be. What parts does the 8100 need to get it pulling hard from the get go all the way to 85-90? Don't want nitrous or supercharger. Thanks

Aluminum heads are BIG money. I'd start with this...

Ported TB
Headers
Cam

See where the leaves you. Then add stuff like

Stall
Heads
Gears (dependant on gears)

I have 4:11 gears. Those precats for 04 are not doing it any good.

Ah ****, I was not aware GM installed precats on the '04s.

A cat back may help a bit also.

So, cat backs will eliminate the precats?

Oh a cat back usually replaces the muffler and tailpipe setup.

There probably won't be that much of a gain from removing the pre-cats. The mods mentioned about will help the truck move along faster. The big mods are what will really wake it up (heads and or cam). There is also a new intake manifold available. It just depends on how much of an increase you would like to see.
