Default found some 41lb injectors!!

i pulled one of my injectors and took a pic and some measurements and sent that off to http://www.rceng.com/index.htm

they found one that is rated at 35.2lb/hr at 43.5psi, that is equal to 41lb/hr at our 59psi. they tell me it is a direct replacement, conector and all.

they have them in stock and ready to ship but my god do they want alot of cash for those things! $85 ea!!! well i have ls1edit and a couple of smaller pullies just waiting for a fuel fix so i had to order them. so far i have only gained .4 in the 1/4 with the 6.0 and yank swap and i know there is alot more potential than that. just bumping the boost up from 3 to 6 or so psi should be .3 or more.

What I was told is their injector will not go static at all. This is one reason they cost so much.

"Static" is an occurance which happens when signal exceeds the threshold of the injector (duty cycle)...too much pulsewidth. When injectors go "static" they shut-off...obviusly this is not a good thing. This is a common problem dry nitrous users run across.

Do you have a part number for the injectors your getting?

They sound like they will be perfect for my future setup also.

"Going Static" DOES NOT MEAN they shut off

Static operation refers to a duty cycle of 100%. While it's not a good thing for a few reasons, the biggest problem is you can no longer increase fuel delivery.

the major issus with it are overheating of the injector, you can get into a non-linear range of the injector (may not flow the rated mass of fuel).

FWIW, alot of injectors are rated at static flow

they didn't give me a part number but when they show i will give you all the numbers off of the injector, then you can go out and find them really cheap and rub that in my face. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> i am just happy to have something in the mail so i can start tuning and cranking up the boost.
