Default Logging for converter slip, are the parameters correct?

Found an old post from Atomic showing TCC slip as ((engine rpm)-(tranny input shaft rpm))/tranny output shaft rpm

I happen to be logging these parameters for a 3rd gear run from 80 mph (4679 rpm) to 117 mph (6183 rpm).

I just picked some random engine RPM's to check

engine RPM 4679
TIS 3804
TOS 3805

engine RPM 5085
TIS 3895
TOS 3904

engine RPM 5575
TIS 4093
TOS 4092

engine RPM 6183
TIS 5561
TOS 5566

This gives me TCC slip% of 18.7, 23.4, 26.5, 10.0%, respectively. These numbers just seem way out there to me. Does anyone have any logs we can compare?

I have data to share... I will respond when I get a chance... but its clear your converter is very loose and its very clear there is turbo lag lol

I know your lag isnt bad... but mine will flash its max and then for every rpm i grab from hat point on its getting more and more efficient.

Yeah, the turbo isn't going to hit immediately like the blower, however, it does go from atmospheric pressure to 16 psi right at 1 second, per my logs.

Im using EFI live, I cant see your log because I dont use HPT.

Can you tell me what your differences between engine rpm and trans input shaft rpm in 3rd gear WOT?

without the converter being locked it @ 4803 rpm tcc slip is 371. when the tcc locks its 5200rpm and tcc slip is anywhere from 300-200rpm to 6000 or so

First off, you are locking your converter at WOT in 3rd gear?

Secondly, why is the converter slipping still if it's supposedly locked?

Thirdly, assuming those numbers you posted are 3rd gear, at 4775 rpm, my TIS rpm is 3509 = converter slip of 1266 rpm versus your 371. Which converter are you using?

yes locking it in third gear. trans and convertor are built for it jakes lvl 5 and circle d 3d. 2nd idk lol, trying to figure all that out. i have cut my force motor current in half across the board already . I think the trans isnt putting out the line pressure needed and I need to speak with Jake, its been like that since I bought the transmission a while back. I guess I should mention this is a 4l80e.
