whys there a bunch of fukin idiots on the site? im not trying to sound like some little kid that thinks his truck is the fastest and all others should bow down. im just trying to prove a point. if the 4.8 sux, then the 5.3 sux as well. thats all im saying. from what ive seen, all the races are always close, regardless of the engine. some guys on this site make it sound like theres just a huuuge widespread in speed between the two. in this case... u would never hear any 4.8s beating 5.3s... but u do, so that statements false.
someone prove me wrong, please

and dont throw bullsh!t times, hp #'s, dynos, and timeslips at me. show me a fukin visual and prove me wrong. ******

Dude whats with the name calling? I dont like you already and neither does other people on here but we havent called you names. Chill out.

Yes the races are always close, but doesnt mean I won. A stock 5.3 will not embarrass me but it does make me wonder...I have more than enough mods to overcome the 15 hp difference so why am I not winning?

What exactly are you trying to prove? I'm trying to prove that my 15.2 ET 4.8 is not a POS but about the normal for a 4.8.

Also, if proof is needed I do believe that someone (Nineball possibly) posted a dyno chart of a stock 4.8 and stock 5.3. That graph should pretty much speak for itself when posted.

Hey hyper, Don't be a troll man. I don't say that to be an *** either. Look at what you have posted. There is no reason for for the slander. I know you are defending your 4.8 and I dont see any reason not to. Just do it in a different way. I think the 4.8 can be a good motor. You just have to do a few things different to make up for the loss of cubes. Now think about this. If you have two equal drivers with stock trucks, one with a 4.8 and the other with a 5.3, there is no reason why the 5.3 should lose. I drove a reg cab 4.8 gmc before I bought my reg cab 5.3 and there was quite a difference. You dont want to start sounding like Slowerado now do you

Thank you. It was about 95 or so when I ran the 16.4. MarineBlueGMC03 can vouch for me since he was there.
I'd like to run at Carlsbad without the 20s. Maybe my "piece of ****" will run like hyperlite's badass 4.8 :p

alright, alright, sorry for the name calling. just get a little fired up when i cant prove something through typing. its just hard

anyway i have a perfect example of why posted times dont mean much...
creeder on this site has a 99 regcab 5.3 with boltons. he says his truck runs 14.0s. on the other hand, ranwalk has a whipple 4.8 with boltons running a 14.5. now even though creeder has the better time... in person i guarantee ranwalk would smoke creeder. so i guess thats a better way of prooving my point
