Ya the 4.8 AND the 5.3 suck! Its all about the 6.0. No replacement for displacement. All the cool kids are doing it. You want to be cool dont you? Only once wont hurt you. You know you want to. anyway i have a perfect example of why posted times dont mean much...
creeder on this site has a 99 regcab 5.3 with boltons. he says his truck runs 14.0s. on the other hand, ranwalk has a whipple 4.8 with boltons running a 14.5. now even though creeder has the better time... in person i guarantee ranwalk would smoke creeder. so i guess thats a better way of prooving my point

I have been doing this for 3 years and have tried just about every mod out there. My 60' are 1.8-1.9, whats yours?
My times are result of awesome traction, awesome wheather and the fact my truck is built to race, light weight and good transfer.
Ranwalk's truck would beat me if I was there at the same day, at the same track with the same wheather but I wasn't so don't even compare.
I'll remeber next time I take time out of my day to help you out with one of your stupid posts which clearly represents that you havn't a clue of whats going on.
As far as Et's, they are a good sign of whether or not our trucks are responding to mods in differant climates.
All I know is evrytime I do a mod my truck gets faster, And Thats all that matters to me.
So you can take your truck and cry yourself to sleep, because you would never beat me in race unless you won the lottery and paid someone to build it for you.

Technically, so does every single other internal combustion engine ever made. 4.8's in a sense suck hard, real hard (5.3s and 6.0s suck even more).Parish8's truck sucks AND blows.

Funny how some (not all)4.8 owner are so proud of there short stroke that they think they are in the John force category.Makes no sense to me why anyone would buy one to modify.The best 4.8 is a stock one.This is the motor you get to send your employee's out in or your son
