Electric Fans
#1
ok as i was casually walking through my garage i cam across a 16" electric fan that my dad says he picked up just becuase it works(typical guy of course) anyways i was wondering would this fan be enough to keep my engine cooled or would i need to find another one. and how man cfm's do i need to keep my stuff cool enough to run WIDE open @ times.

yeah ive posted this same question before and the single electric fans are frrowned upon on the newer motors, i guess due to not enough cfm's .alot of guys including me are gettin the ls1 or lt1 fans off ebay for around 150$ shipped or sometimes cheaper than that. or you could by the new ones from flexalit for like 400$ i beleive. but since your truck has a 350 with a clutch fan you could get away with the single elec fan. a guy at my work runs a 16inch fan off of a dodge truck on his 95 suburban and he has no problems with it.

yea i'm just worried that when a hot head pulls up next to me and i decide to get on it that that one fan might not be enough to keep that motor from running a fever if you know what i mean..... i hooked it up today and it blows slighly softer than the clutch fan so idk.........

I was curious about these fans too, on the LS1/LT1 fans, are they direct bolt ins? I know you would have to do some type of wireing correct?
