Just installed these on my truck on Fri night. Something is rattling under the truck but have been at work all weekend and haven't checked it out yet. I am hoping that I am able to clear up the rattle, it's driving me crazy. Other than the rattle, I am happy with my purchase. I live close to DNA and after talking to Siktruck, walked in and purchased a set for under the ebay price. If you pay cash on a will call, they don't tax you, he also threw in a military discount.

Can't beat these for what I paid for them. You can do the install by yourself but I would recommend a couple things:

1. have a buddy or an extra jack that you can use to jack up the headers while mounting to the heads. Mine were a tight fit and trying to hold them while mounting them up wasn't working. I had to break out the spare jack.

2. Definitely get band clamps, I don't see how the U clamps seal the slip pipe, it only fits over the 2.5 portion of the slip joint.

3. spark plug wires are not an issue, you may have to reroute them over the hump. No biggie, heat wrap and ties and your g2g. You do not need to extend your wires. I only encountered wire issues on the driver side, pass side wiring worked fine.

I have the obx and the only difference I noticed on my buddies (ebay) brand kit was they used different clamps.. Mine come with band clamps. Only parts I bought from the parts store was some toyota oil pan drain plugs to put in the other 2 holes since they have 6 02 holes... Only part that made the install for mine suck is we had to beat the hell out of the driverside header cuz one of the primarys was rubbing on the front driveshaft.... They are ok and will do me till I change my heads out then I will prolly be goin with some lpps or somthing similar just for the 1 3/4" primaries and 3" collectors

I just installed my ebay ones this past weekend. Took me 4 hours by myself with the truck on a set of ramps in my driveway. After a quick test drive I had to go back over all the bolts to make sure they were tight after the whole system settled in.

Things that are not included that I needed before the install were:
2 band clamps
2 Spark Plug Heat Shield Boot Insulators
Both stock manifold gaskets
Patience
I also had to unbolt the steering shaft to fit them

Tools:
13,14, and 15mm sockets and wrenches, ratcheting wrenches worked best
5/8 socket for the band clamps
Sawzall to get the old exhaust out (not needed if you have a lift)
Adjustable wrench for the o2 sensors and o2 sensor whole blanks

With my Magnaflow muffler they have a nice quiet tone at idle but sound pretty mean (and loud) at WOT.

I did notice a small rattle on the first test drive and it was the heat shield on my transmission. Slight bend in the metal and the nose was gone. Best $350 I have spent yet. That is including the band clamps.

About to order a set of these from DNA racing, also going to order a pair of the nicer 'band' type clamps from Summit. I will post how the install goes when ever i get the time to put them on the truck.

with these LTs do you get the valvetrain noise or tapping like you do with the pacesetters? The pacesetters with their thin gauge primaries and being made of steel they don't absorb vavle train noise like the OEM shorties... it annoys the crap out of me.

one thing i don't like about these is the driver's side hump. Since these are obviously knock off's of the first Dynatechs, i hope someone out there starts to knock off the new Dynatech style.

yes, every header will lead to the ticking noise. It's inherent to the thin walls.

I've heard SS tubes absorb sound better than steel. So, i'm curious to know hear expereince with these specific headers and the valvetrain noise

Curious to how these are still working for you guys that have them.

I just set my 6.0 back in my truck sans manifolds, could be a good time to just get headers and be done with it.

Concensous im getting from this thread:

These are a good value and seem to fit nice and arent annoying for daily driving.

: These fit and are built better than pacesetters?

Im afraid to buy headers due to fitment / spark plug access/ and how they hold up bieng in a northern salty area.

Do you guys reccomend these for my truck?

Also should i just buy a set for the 5.3 applications ? I have a summit 3'' dual act back system now and want to keep it for now.
