I think that is the way most headers are on the 99-02 trucks. Some fit well and others diddnt.

Are they still holding up well?

Just curious after reading about someone else having burn through issue recently.

I still have just my "free" turbo wrap on mine without issue.

as a GENERAL UPDATE/Helpful tip:

I wish I had installed some sort of stainless studs in the collectors, for the Y pipe connections. These seem to have rusted up pretty well over the last 7 and a half months since installing them. Everything else looks as good as I hoped, considering truck is/has been truly daily driven in sometimes harsh conditions, (steel mill crud, snow, salt, etc...)

Overall...Still 100% happy

Yes, and it passed with no problem.

Awesome. I'm going to pick a set up in July. I'm due to get an inspection about then too. Did you have anything tuned out when you went?

I installed a set last weekend. My only advice is to use some thread sealer on all plugs that are in unused bungs. I've had 2 vibrate out even though I tightened them before install. I'm also going to have to replace my 14" magnaflow with a larger one. Too loud now with the wife and kid in the truck.

I'm wondering how they will sound with the RST exhaust which sounds awesome to begin with.

If your talking about the EGR flange on the header , i used an 1/8 '' recessed allen head pipe plug.Worked great and hardly noticeable.
