I was thinking about this cam but I would want it on a 116lsa, to have it idle a tad better, after all this is my daily driver.

As of right now, the wife is not too thrilled about me doing a cam swap to our brand new truck...

I've pretty much decided on the tried and true Comp 216/220 on a 114...I think the lift is around .525/.530ish? This will be going in my LQ9, and I'm gonna be using the LS6 springs that I bought from Scoggin Dickey for around $60 shipped

This truck is my daily driver as well as my hot rod, so I'm kinda riding both sides of the fence. I take it to work every day, every season. I'm pretty pleased with the street manners that it has now with 5.3 and my baby cam, so I'm gonna try and acheive similar driveability manners, only with more cubes

the larger motor will eat alot of that duration. your cam will be like 212/226 with the larger motor.

That's pretty much what I'm going for....I have a 206/212 in the 5.3 now that I'm happy with, so it'll actually be a slight step up...(did you mean 212/216 BTW?) Plus, I don't wanna have to go too big on the stall for the converter, I'm even considering something tighter than a TB...

(sorry if we're hijacking your thread Billiumss...hopefully some of this info will be helpful to you though)

I don't have my book in front of me, but I was reading it the other night and the earlier year LQ9s had 116 LSA. I'm not sure about the later years though.
The 99-00' LQ4s had 114 LSA and then got 116 LSA after that.
