Default Degree thermostat?

Trying to figure what thermostat I should get while I have the motor out? I've seen some people do 160 and 195. I'm installing e-fans, along with cam heads and tb converter before I do swap.... Would 180 degree be good w/o going to low? Or jus stay 195

for any real benefits you need to tune for the mod. If you run a 160 stat you can run a more agressive tune.

yeah, i was gonna run the truck to wheatley as soon as i get the motor in and running. i was thinkin 180 if anything maybe jus put another 195 in..... i know its better internally for engine to run lower stats, but whats the downfall?

Keep the stocker if you drive your truck alot. To low a temp ruins cylinder bores, and a high temp one pretty much stops cylinder wear. 160 can be low enough and 180 is high enough.
