Default converter lockup question

Guys, I've been putting up with this for awhile, but I finally have to ask about converter lockup. Just easing around town, when I get converter lockup at around 30-35mph, the power just falls off the planet! I know that I sacrifice some low end with the cam, but I'm now starting to feel the converter is locking up too quickly. On a cold morning, the converter will take awhile to lock up, and it feels great getting up to my cruising speed.
How should the converter be set up? What should I tell Allen I want it to do? The truck is awesome running down the track and at faster accelerations, but a simple cruise around town is pretty bad. It just doesn't seem to me the converter should be locking at such a low mph on such a low acceleration. Am I totally off base here, or is this something I can remedy? Thanks guys.

Jeremy

You can raise the MPH that the TQ Converter locks.
I have mine set to lock at low MPH on normal mode for better MPG
and have Haul mode set to lock during shifts and OD only.
Use Tow/Haul for the best of both worlds.

Just my 2 cents

That is exactly what you have to do. I have mine set up not to lock up before 42mph no matter what in od and have the other settings tweeked from there. Best thing to do is figure out what mph you want it to lock up at what throttle position since that is what the table is scalled on. (mph vs throttle by gear)
