Cal-Tracs .... WTF ?!
#21
odd, not sure if any have heard of richard waites, he has pulled a 1.65 60' if i recall correctly with qa1's and cal trac's on et streets. et streets aren't slicks even though they've oddly been called slicks on this post, but they should be more than enough tire to get it to hook. i'd contact calvert to see if they have any suggestions as to any other way to set them up better. are you running adjustable shocks?

I dont think they are stock shocks but they arnt anything special. He has a 4"shackle/hanger drop in back so I think he has some drop shocks but I dont know what brand they are. It is Blacksheep's truck.

Maybe next itme I will see about getting my bid to stand on the tailgate and I screw the bars down and give it a try.
I figured the truck wasn't hooking for **** htat night, neither was a lot of other people though, so I wil have to play with them later on when the trakc is better.

I been using Cal-tracs on my camaro (sec gen yes it is old school) for a few years now. My base set-up was to put about 1/2-1 full turn of pre-load in the left rear and the right rear was just touching the top of the spring. Any changes I make at the track are in air pressure. I rarely touch the bars other than to simply check the settings.
