Are you guys using the gaskets that they come with or factory style?

My factory ones were toast, so I used the ones that came with. I like the factory ones better. The ones that came with look like I'll probably have to scrape them off if I ever remove the headers. If I had a good set of factory ones I would have used them.

save yourself some time down the road, and go buy new OEM ones from the dealer, they seal the best and dont start leaking after a few months like most aftermarket one's seem to.

I re-used the OE gaskets, but I would recommend buying new OE gaskets to use. I don't have a lot of confidence in the graphite coated gaskets supplied with AR Headers.

When I used to have Gibson shorties, I used the supplied gaskets with a coating of high temp RTV on both sides of them. They were still going strong after over 5 years of service when I removed the headers in lieu of some StainlessWorks LT's. I installed new OEM gaskets with the SW's which have been on there for the past few years without problem.

I used Felpros when I installed the SW's on my 5.3. Never had any problems with them and they came off in one piece, no sticking.

I have a set of AR's on the way for the 427. Didn't know that they come with gaskets. I was planning on using Felpros again.

Our gaskets work very well but the stockers are the best. If we could get the stock pieces at a reasonable price we would include them in the kit.

stockers at my local chevy dealer we're like 22$ for both sides, well worth not having to re-do the gasket's again in a short amount of time.
