Do you have any pics of the 4.8 shortblock? What did the #3 piston look like, how did the head get damaged? I'm just want to see the carnage. It might help prevent me from spraying my 4.8.

I havent whined or blamed anyine or anything at all. I dont give a **** Im faster and more powerful than before! My buddy CRAZYCUTER4.8 is a service after sales manager at a chevy dealership. So yeah he is a manager but that has nothing to do with him working on my ride. My work has been done by B&M Racing and they did everything they should have done and there was no visible piston damage at that time. So what is the problem Smooth Sierra? I have a friend thats a pilot but he doesnt fly me when I go on trips! lol! CRAZYCUTER4.8 just gave his opinion on both situations-who cares. Ill have some pics of the piston and everything else. You ask how did the heads get damaged? You can see where the piston hits the valves and it loks like metall covered hay!LOL! I just found out that I needed a new valve as well! Everything is done even a new tune is in from Ed Wright(he is a personal friend of my guy at B&M so I got hooked up quick like) and Im justing waiting on the new valve to come in tomorrow morning!

I have some 5.3 heads I could part with. If you wanted to get new heads all together.

Low mileage 03 heads.

Yeah I had access to some 6.0 heads and some LS1 heads but I chose to just use my 4.8 becuase they were already at the place repairing them and they were doing the valves and some other stuff. If it wasnt for a valve needing a valve repalced I would have been running yesterday but I had to wait another day! Im very excited. Im going ahead and getting the posi ordered Today or Monday because it is going to be ridiculous without one! Would you guys go with the Eaton or the Auburn in my situation? It will see alot of track time but it is a daily driver! What about a full time locker? That LS1 looked pretty last night!

Eaton!

The heads are complete with LS6 springs. Just bolt them on and go.
