Was it hooked up at the throttle body?

No it hooks up to one of the wire on the pcm harness. Here is a link to the one I have. http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/outlet/...&section_id=26

Since we have the electronic throttle body this is all we can use for a "WOT Switch".

did you guys ever use a bore scope and take a peak down in the cylinder? I would have thought your service manager buddy would have access to a bore scope that could have answered all your questions long ago. I personally believe you broke a piston spraying and it finally let go, but you can check the other thread and get more info on that. Next time run a bore scope down the spark plug hole and take a peak. If you broke a piston you will know it. No one can 'listen' or 'feel' what is broken internally. you have to inspect it. Good luck and hard lesson learned I guess. that misfire you spoke of could have been a piece of a ring banging around in there and getting hot and pre-igniting fuel. just a thought been there done that, but I don't run a service dept. so what do I know. BTW I bet your excessive lean condition was caused when the piston actually let go. But once again I do not run a service dept

My buddy doesnt do anywork on my truck. I dont think he said he ran a serivce department either but I guess people arent titled to opinions! LOL! Half of your post was talking **** about someone. Just because he used a TECH-2 on my truck doesnt mean anything but he used a TECH-2 on my truck. The place that does the work on my truck B&M Racing did the cam job(springs, rods, new TR-6's,160 stat) and is now dropping the LS1 in. When they put the cam and **** in the slight knocking went away-but that was just luck right? When he put the cam in if he thought there was more damage beleive me he would have told me being another frined of mine. The necessary steps were taken at that time.-That was two weeks ago and all was fine untill the other day! And a misfire is a under statement!

get some friends with a bore scope. your buddy crazycuter told me he was a manager. check the other thread. here is his quote right here

As for me, well you probably should not listen to me either, I am just some stupid manager @ a chevrolet dealership
I also suggested you try a bore scope in that thread. amazing with all the knowledge you have amongst your friends no one did a leak down or ran a bore scope down the spark plug hole. oh well no skin off my back

Stop your whining, you're getting an LS1!!! JK

Do you have any pics of the 4.8 shortblock? What did the #3 piston look like, how did the head get damaged? I'm just want to see the carnage. It might help prevent me from spraying my 4.8.
