How did the 4 1/2 fit? Looks like it would be loose. Where'd you buy your reducers?

I talked to Airaid. The coupler used on the '07-'08 is the same size as on my existing MIT. The factory 90mm t-body must not flare out like this Edelbrock. This thing measured 4 3/8" OD, 4 1/8" ID. It just seems a shame to reduce down to a 3 1/2" pipe. In reality, the blade itself is only 90mm = 3.54", so I guess it's not that big of a deal. The MAF is 3 1/2" ID as well. Like I said, it just looks bad since the OD of the t-body flares out to 4 3/8".

I also checked the MAF connection size on the MIT for a TBSS. It's the same connector as what I have now, so no difference in size there either.

I guess all this simply boils down that I just need a 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" reducer. Now to find someone that sells them.

Boom here yah go dude...they lsit one

You could easily make a 4.25" Intake, jsut need a 90 degree and some 4" Pipe, put to airbox, another coupler and some creative work for the mass air system.

I plan on getting a reducer for my FAST lsxrt setup, jsut to get ti hooked up to my volant intake, then get all the other stuff i need to make a big intake..that way theres no down time

The PCV system works like a loop, vacuum on one side and fresh air in on the other...

Another good source for these as well as other parts such as T-Bolt clamps and so on is Air Flow Systems, Inc (airflo dot com).

Thanks for all the good info guys. BTW, I ordered the 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" reducer from Silicone Intakes earlier this afternoon. A complete 4" system would be nice, but not right now.

Instead of waiting for my PCM to get from OH to CA and back for Jason to tune it, I just paid the core deposit and am having him send me one. I think he did the tune today.

The engine's out, but it wasn't without major struggles. I absolutely could not get the thre flywheel to torque converter bolts out. I tried both heat and penetrant. I ended up pulling the TC with the engine. That proved to be a pain too. The oil pan hit the front diff before it came off the input shaft. I ended up having to drop the bolts on the right side of the diff housing and finally got it to pull free. Then there wasn't enough room to get it up and out. The TC was hitting the firewall. So I had to pull the balancer with the engine already setting way forward. That was a pain too. Then the passenger side valve cover was hitting the firewall. At least that was an easy removal. Bottom line, I got it out. I couldn't have done it without the help of my brother. Thanks Brian!!! Once the engine was out, a lot of heat and a direct shot with the impact gun with 175 PSI air finally got them out. What a drama over three little bolts!

I've got one small but major hurdle if I'm going to get the new one dropped in tomorrow. I damaged the little o-ring on the input shaft of the tranny. Any ideas if I'll be able to find one on a Saturday? I'll have to get new TC bolts, but that could wait until Monday.

I hope you have better luck then I do because I broke my trans pump when I pulled my old engine with the torque converter still attached

Would that be detectable at this point? I popped the TC back in and everything feels nice and smooth.
