When i got my 6.0, there was 2 knock sensors under the valley cover, well i got this l33 aluminum 5.3 now, tore it down, and there is 4 knock sensors, attached to the bottom of the cover, the motor is an o6, question is, is it all the same as my 5.3 in my 05? i know i have to change the oil pan, because it came out of a 4wd, basically, will the l33 be a direct swap into my 05?

I just tore down an 06 LR4 and there are only two knock sensors (5.3L Iron Block)

 

Errrrr nvm I tore down the 4.8 today, however I was under the impression that they are identical with the exception of stroke (pistons crank rods)

 

well after countless searching on the internet, the strange valley cover is called a "loma" it oils the lifters, looks to be a LH6 5.3, evidently its a POD engine, and will probably be a bitch for a swap
