I talked to a guy named Randy at Thorley about 6 wks ago and that 429.00 sounded like what he said it would be for a set of TRI-Ys,uncoated. Coated was about 150.00 more. This was to buy directly from them. I found there site by doing a name search. No toll-free number.

I have the Thorley's on and they come two ways. The standard is a heavy chrome finish and for the racers, they have a ceramic coated version. I have the chrome and have never had a code. I tow an enclosed trailer (about 7500lb total) for hundreds of miles and no problems with the headers. Which ever kind you get, remember to torque the bolts once a weak for the first month to ensure you do not blow the gasket.

for the price I don't think you can beat them. I belive they are mid lengths but I know alot of people are looking at buying them since they are a couple hundred cheaper then anything comparable. I am looking.

I believe they are considered long tubes. You cut the Y pipe 1/2" in front of the cat and weld the flange at that point.

The truck has held up great, I have had no issues with it at all and thats after over 20,000 miles. My truck is a work truck and hauls my tractor, boats, cars and a heavy as hell enclosed trailer and its never been a problem. Believe it or not it drives better than before I did the lift. One thing it look at the price of the 4" lift as opposed to the 6" like I did its so close I would go 6" and then if you want you can tweak it up another 1-1.5" easily. I did all the work myself (installed everything) and it wasn't that bad but I have a lift and that makes it alot easier.

Hope that helps.
