Hows this sound for a 5.3? Its an 08' rcsb lowered 4wd

Ive got most if it as of now, the phoenix az heat is postponing this lol. Still undecided on injectors and gears. Looking to hit 12's on spray! Just want a fun street truck that can play with 5.0s and camaros a little. Id also like to stay a 5.3. So my question is, is anyone running something similar? Do I have potential for 500rwhp?

 

For the mods you listed I would think 375-400 would be a realistic rwhp range. Should be a fun truck though to beat up on mustangs and camaros!

 

375-400 rwhp thru 4wd n/a would be perfect. 500 was hopefull with spray

 

For the money you are going to put into that 5.3, you would be money and power ahead to get a 6.0.. I have stock heads, MILD cam, 3k stall, 3.23 gears and run 12.9s all day. Better gears and converter would be mid 12s

 

I went 12.1 at 110 with a tsp224 cam and 150 shot 4.11 3200 stall
7.76@88 in the 1/8th on 125 shot with a 26inch m/t et street

 

6.0 would be cool. Ideally Id LOVE to do a 427 and spray it! Could anyone point me towards a reputable builder for a iron 427 shortblock? Im the kind of person who will be lazy and just do "bolt ons" or if im going to pull the motor go for all or nothing, if that makes sense.
