Default 4l60e servo's and kit at 80k?

I have 80,000 on my tranny as of today. Its time to change the tranny fluid and filter. While im under there would it be wise to go ahead and do the covette servo and OD servo and shift kit.... or should I leave it stock to prolong its life. I allready run a tranny cooler (well its stock w/ the z71 towing package). I understand that the trans-kit will reduce heat and is supposed to prolong the tranny life, but what worries me is it seems like trannies like to fail right after a fluid change due to the new fluid breaking up all the junk that has accumulated. I dont want to up the fluid pressure and cause every little bit of clutch dust and dirt to instantly break free and really screw my tranny. I might have got some bad information and be all worried over nothing, but I dont want to do anything that is going to cause me to park the truck for awhile while a figure out how to talk the wife into a 4l80e swap. Also, is the transgo HD kit a hard install needing special tools, or is it a pretty strait forward install. One more thing, I hear you dont get gaskets with the transgo kit, is this true?

Trans service and a vette servo and you should be good to go.I would pass on the OD servo. When does it have a huge load when in OD? Probably never.transgo gives you a shitty cork pan gasket and VB gaskets w/HD kit.

Well I live in the hills so it bounces in and out of OD alot, thats why I was thinking about the OD servo. So you wouldnt do the kit? As far as the pan gasket, I have a rubber one from my filter kit.

I got a gasket with mine
the seperator plate gasket

I think thats all you need

the transgo kit isnt that bad just keep everything clean
and take your time
the dude in the vid used fluid to hold the gasket on
I used white lithium grease
worked alot better

The servo is most important to hold that band tight on the drum.Yes i would do a kit, if you start getting into some HP mods it would be the next step.

I would do it
if you dont have a stall
Id drill everything besides the 1-2 .093
leave the 1-2 alone
no washers in servo and no spacers in accumulator

aluminum accumulators also

I have to agree.leave the 2nd feed alone with the transgo. If you go with the late model superiour kit drill it to HD specs and leave the force motor alone and it will have a cleaner shifts than the transgo.I would do the servo spacers that the transgo kit gives, removes most all apply pin travel.
