4.3 Hemi Kill
Yester day on my way to a buddies house AKA (bowtie bandit), i had a dude in a hemi want to run me, so i ran him. some how i kicked his ***. all i have is a moded 93 model 4.3 in a 1500. is this crazy or what. i thought that the new hemis were supposed to be fast, even stock. i talked to another budy of mine who has a hemi that has been reflashed and he said that his only tops out at 140. any body know what a stock hemi tops out at cause i never hit 103. i did like the kill though, it felt awsome taking down dodges almighty HEMI.

KnN,e-fans, flat tops, cam(small),MSD,Flowmasters, ram air, full roller,3-core radiator, no thermostat(never gets over 160 deg.) and the trans has a shift kit,4L60E trans with 3.42 gears, limited slip. i dont really know the grind on my cam but i think it is a 212 dur. and i have no idea what lift. that is about it off the top of my head.i still need a stall converter.

The Hemi is limited around 105 mph, tho you can override the limiter by turning the key to "Run" when you approach the limit.
There is no flash that will change the limiter unless the dude is running a programmer, stealerships will not clear that one out.
Good run, nice list of mods! Let us know your 1/4 times.

Really? That must be one stout 4.3L in a full size truck to beat a 5.7L in a Ram. Was the Ram a 4x2, 4x4, RC or QC? I can only go by my experience here but we have a 94 Chevy W/T pick up with a 4.3L in it and it's a slug. The W/T is the stripped down pick up so it shouldn't weigh alot and this thing is still slow, so all the mods to your 4.3L must have done alot for it. My 04 4x2 QC Hemi Ram only has a ram-air system and a Magnaflow muffler, it ran a 15.24 last month. I'm curious as to what your truck runs?

i have no idea what i run in a quarter. the hemi was just a rc sb 4x2. looked plain enough to me but it sounded good. it drowned out my truck and its very loud. the run was all top end so i dont know how that efected my chances, maybe he didnt know about turning the key forward, after all he did have a mullet. i need to run mine but we dont really have any good tracks around here. i will have dyno numbers befor long. i will definatly get them befor and after i do my engine swap.
