This should put the older 4.3 V6's at about mid 17's. With all those mods you listed I doubt you are even in the 15's. You are going to need to do a lot better to beat a scsb Hemi.
we are talking top end though. i have never run a quarter.i can hit 100mph at 2000 rpm's and have full throttle in 4th gear. i shift at 4500rpm's

i have no doubt that the hemi would probaly eat that 4.3 as an appetizer off the line but you have to consider this is a high end run both truck already moving

i grow weary of this infantile argument there is in the world an ability for a 4.3 v6 that has been worked on to out run a 5.7l dodge engine that wears the hemi badge but has no hemi in it put more in the engine and you'll take them off the line just bring your truck down here to the shop we'll tune that 4.3 up to even higher goals once you beat a hemi what fun is there in beating another dodge failure

Damn, I go to bed saying what crappy mpg I get and the thread was two pages long, I wake up to a five page novel. The Rams are goverened to 104-105 I think, so if you went past that, then yes you'll win. I didn't raise the BS flag, call you a liar and I wouldn't because I wasn't there nor can I prove it didn't happen. Sure I wondered about it but I'm not here to start trouble or call members liars. Like I said, I can only go from my experience. The 93 TBI 4.3L was rated at 160 hp at most, the newer Vortec 4.3L were 180-190 depending on what truck they came in. I had a 95 EXCB 4x2 Silverado with the 5.7L TBI engine that was rated at 200 hp and 300 tq, stock it did 0-60 in 10.1 seconds on my old stop watch, that's the truck I started do the 0-60 runs on. I put every bolt on part I could find in that truck, chips, headers, intake, pullies, exhaust, etc., and got the 0-60 time down to 7.8 seconds, that's over a two second reduction. Now, when I did a 0-60 run in my Hem Ram when it was stock(which it still is except for the Magnaflow muffler and ram-air set up), it did it in 6.75 seconds, so you can see, there is quite a bit of difference between the two trucks. I'm just going to say good kill and leave it at that.
Jim
