Going this route myself.

Brand new LS6 heads never used $425
Mill Heads $80
212/218 LL Cam $300
TBSS intake, 90mm TB , injectors $100
LS7 Lifters and trays $120
LT Headers and Y-pipe, clamps $400
Pushrods $80
Bolt, Gaskets $275
Tuner to be determined. Decent amount of options in my area.

Unsure if I will use the intake due to the unknown gains and cost of x-link.

Just a truck I use for weekends and would like to be a bit faster. Was going to do a cam and first but then decided to do heads and headers as well.

Is it worth it maybe not, but its a hobby as well.

Great little combo... i ran this EXACT combo on my 2003 silverado back in 2008 before i put a KBRacing turbo kit on later that year... with 4:10s and a converter that was a stout little truck!

RCSB as well, 2006. Gears wont be an option since I am 4wd. Gets pricey quick. Trying to stay out of the trans unless it takes a crap on me. This is one reason I am not shooting for more HP. I do not want another money pit breaking parts.

with dished pistons in the 5.3l to get the 243/799 heads back to stock it needs too be milled like .025". if milled to .030" it will bump the compression over stock to 9.8-9.9:1. if going flattop pistons no need to mill the heads.
