4.8 to 6.0
i was looking to get some info on cam, heads, intake, for the 6.0 lq9 i have for my 2003 silverado RCSB. Im planning on doing 4.10 gears with a gm locker. I drive this truck to work which is only 11 miles from my house. I have 4l60e transmission with a 3200 stall in it already that came with the motor. Supposably its built as well, yall give me some tips or info on what would be a good setup for my truck, and also i already have longtube headers, air intake, full exhaust for it. The motor is just sitting in my garage waiting to be put in but one of my friends convinced me to cam it before putting it in.
I was thinking between
TSP 228r 600 lift
torquer v2- 232/234 600 lift
torquer v4- 231/234 629-615 lift
TSP 233-239. 600 lift
i also want to run the edelbrock EFI manifold pro flo from tsp.
As for heads I'm not sure if the stock heads would be good, one of my friends said I should swap the heads from the 4.8 which I believe they are 862 heads since they have more compression, but idk if it'll help any. Y'all let me know

So,
This is what I would do (if it were me):
1. stick with the 228R
2. Get some 243 heads (this will raise the comp ratio)
3. Stick with the truck intake (seriously....it's that good)
Remember, the more duration you have in a cam, the higher you have to spin it. Sure, it'll probably make more power but you want to move a heavy vehicle. Stick with the 228r. Or hell, have Pat G spec you a cam.

Get the 228R with a 112 LSA. The stock 317 heads on the LQ9 have amazing flow. The compression difference of the 4.8 862 heads is not worth the reduced flow. If you want higher compression and want to spend the $$s get the 243 heads. Use the truck intake. If anything get the Trailblazer SS intake.

Turns out my new truck I just bought has 243 heads! It's a 2011 Texas edition Silverado 5.3 and they look like they're in good condition. What would be good heads for that 5.3? it just has bolt ons and a tune. I defiantly wouldn't mind pulling those heads and putting them on that 6.0. Those 243s are hard to find and expensive as hell.

what do yall think about the holley hi ram intakes? are they worth it? they look awesome under the hood but does it improve much from the stock lq9 intake?
