Default 8.1 swap in a 02 rcsb 5 speed 4.8 z71

Hello everyone. I don't know if this is feasible or not. I have an 02 z71 with a 4.8. It came with the nv3500 in it and I swapped it out for an nv4500 a couple years ago. I've been kicking around the idea of swapping the little 4.8 out for a 6.0. I started looking at some local junkyards and found out the 8.1 can be had for about the same money. Has anyone ever put an 8.1 in a 1500? What all would be involved? I think I would prob. Be OK with the nv4500 but would all my computer stuff plug up as long as I stayed around the same year engine as my truck? If anyone could give me some insight I would appreciate it. Sorry for the long post.

You can make better power for much cheaper out of the 6.0. Just 6.0 it with a cam.
