Mods are in my sig. I am also thinking about doing a dod delete kit and changing the cam since the lifters, valley cover and everything is still stock (AFM), my cam is also a mild AFM cam from comp too, I am also thinking of stroking it. What do you guys think my options are? its a 5.3 4x4 btw, I'm thinking of reaching somewhere around 800 - 900 hp at the crank.

what cam are you running? i just got the comp dod/vvt 689-421-13 cam installed and tuned in my 2012.

 

Mine is comp #: 646-432-13
its also AFM/DOD

 

sounds like you got the wrong cam for a 2011 motor. should be the 689 series after 2009.

Even if the cam sucks, it did give me a good power gain. Also, I'm looking to get one custom spec'd but am still in the process of finding the right specs for my application. Given that I will also do a dod delete and am boosted, do you know anyone who specs cams?

 

check the sticky on gmt900 trucks. about vvt cams. sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

 

im also running 1.8 yella terra non adjustable ultralites to give me about 536 lift.
