Default 2 fill-ups equaled $142.00!

I filled my Silverado and Suburban tonight and ended up with a bill of $142. The Silverado took 30 gallons ($65.70) and 35 for the Suburban ($76.65). That is the most that I've ever spent for a fill-up! I think it's time to start walking

Come on over to California. 35 gallons of gas will run you 87.15 @ 2.53 per gallon.

Its definately a great time to have a big share in the oils business's. Oh wow, what a coincidence that the Bush's do!!! It all really does make sense though. We have taken a finders fee in Iraqi oil and they have also reached record production levels. I think its great that Americans get to go to the Middle East and put their lives at risk and get to come home and pay a 25% increase in gas prices!!! Well my brother did say he will get paid more since he is in Afghanistan. Maybe Bush is using the dividend checks to make ends meet with the great bonus's troops get when they are participating in active warfare. But what do I know.

I've been thinking about an Evo or WRX??? I know, it sounds like fast and furious, and I'm a little old for that **** (35 yrs old), but I could use something that got 30mpg, is all wheel drive, and runs in the 12's with little effort. I just can't afford gas prices at the rate they are going up. I'm gonna try and stick it out, cause after all, I do love my truck.....and I still haven't gotten' this 6.0L in yet. I'm so short on time!

Up here in Canada, 87 was $0.899 a liter here and in BC it was as high as $1.05 L.

$0.899 = $3.40 a gallon
$1.05 = $3.97
I payed $0.917 for 89 , 68 L or a little less than 3/4 tank = $63

BTW the Gov gets 43% of the price in tax

Lets just say,This weekend I started to do a little research on destilling ethanol.

The WRX's are freakin awesome. I got a blue 2003 up for sale and I hate to part with it. That AWD will stick you into your seat and the balance of the car is great. Do some mods and you'll be running with the big dogs

I got turbo fever

They suck stock. The OE exhaust is VERY restricting, sway bars are too small, stock tires blow, and spring rates are poor. You can fix it so it runs and handles like a sports car for ~$2000.

My first mod was a sewer pipe-sized downpipe and it pulled better from idle to redline, the big difference was up top. Uppipe helped full boost come on ~500rpms sooner. Chip makes power on boost. Samcos make boost smoother.

A big top mount intercooler adds like 15rwhp on a stock turbo, so unless you plan a bigger turbo don't get one.

Mine runs WAY better with <$1000 in mods. Also, most mods are plentiful in the used realm. I've got a full catless exhaust, Unichip, K&N dropin, Samco IC hoses, and that's about it. I have a rear sway w/ endlinks in the mail.

The rear sway and stock tires are the main suspension problem. My buddys car has Tien springs, AGX struts, bigger rear sway, and stock tires...handles BADASS. NO body roll, it just sticks and goes. He's also at a TXS Stage 4 so it runs too.

You can find used 205/55ZR16 tires around for about $250-350 shipped, those will be soooo much better than the junk Re92s stock. They are the other half of the excessive body roll and understeer (I think that's it, the front tires give out first).

I get ~23mpg average and ~26mpg freeway.
