I am sure that Bush has something t do with it though. I thought he was trying to deregulate them some what which in theory should have decreased gas prices. What ever hppened to that?

I hear gas prices still need to go up about a buck to match what people were paying with that 70's gas shortage thing I wasn't around for. (that's factoring in inflation)

Something a little strange to ponder....With the gas prices climbing lately, I have been able to drive near the speed limit or faster more often, I haven't been had to wip around some moron in the fast lane doing 60 in a 75 as often, and the roads are a little bit less congested.....I'm not a fan of the gas hike, but getting all the loly gagin A-holes off the road has been wonderful!!!!

Ah, but that boy who calls himself George, said during his campaign run that he would PERSONALLY call the heads of OPEC if the prices became a concern. Well, according to most analysts, the oil rise has a possibility of cutting short the recovery and George still isn't on the phone....

You guys all realize how much of these costs are tax, right?

Have you all seen the earning reports for companies like Unocal? They're earnings are up 110% over last year.

That's insane! What makes gas so much more expensive in CA?

I filled my boat for the first time this year. Add $131.25 to my gas total for this week.

Think A Gallon Of Gas Is Expensive? Compared With Gasoline…
This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ...$9.52 per gallon
Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ...$10.17 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ...$10.00 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ...$33.60 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ...$178.13 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 ...$123.20 per gallon
Whiteout 0.7 oz $1.39 ...$25.42 per gallon
Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 ...$84.48 per gallon
And this is the REAL KICKER... Evian water 9 oz $1.49...$21.19 per gallon?! $21.19 for WATER - and the buyers don't even know the source. So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, or God forbid Pepto Bismal or Nyquil. Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the pump.
I got this from CycleQuest.com
