back to your original question, yes it can be done, but you would know it if you heard it. It sounds like your buddy probably has some cash into it, but is doing a bit of bench racing based on aftermarket "ratings" take him to the dyno, bet him a couple hundred and make some cash. All IMO

No update on his mods huh?? Would be kinda cool if this rumor is true, would be interested in seeing his set-up.

to build a 6.0l motor to make 12000 crank hp and live would take probably $35,000. There is SO much that has to be taken into consideration, computer, fuel system, injectors, pumps, pistons, rods, crank, the list never stops.
12000 is a lot, more than top fuel!

it seems 1000 rwhp would go high 8's or low 9's if it could be hooked from a truck.
Is he better than us?!?

Agreed.

Until the guy can post up some specs on his particular build(which I'm sure alot of us would like to know) we can't really be bashing him to bad. It could be a mega cube carb'd moter for all we know??
True. I soon will have to switch to the LSX. Currently I'm runnin a stroked 6L w/a TVS2300 on top, a pair of turbos, & a 500 plate system driven by a viscous coupling back to the same setup in the back of the bed. It's close to a 50/50 balance. Times pending.
