Post 08 4.3 to 09 6.2 - swap help

My truck -

08 v6 nnbs regular cab - pics will be posted soon

Now not looking to race or put massive power just yet I'm just going to get it running 1st lol

Found a 6.2 with no Trans and computer but comes with harness .

Now the questions
From my local Facebook friends and 225racetruck group ill need a 07-08 v8 harness And computer not 6.0 tho and I need a4l80 Trans to go the simple install route by not going 6-speed but if I can find a newer 6-speed or whatever I need . Well here is where I'm stuck at .

What to do lol ? Thanks !

As my search continues .

I found a 6l80 Trans that ill be going with now I need the motor -

After research I came across a 08 tbss motor fairly cheap . Any opinions to what I'd need to get it going into my truck ? Harness ?

225 member here! You already have a tough swap going on, id leave the stock 4l60e in it and get the ls2 running. After the 60e dumps on you then i would look at the 6l80e swap. Just my opinion. Either way it'll be a badass swap.

I figure I'd keep my search for the 6.2 with harness and use the 6l80y buddy has .

Thing is I wonder of that's all ill need is the motor and harness and if the 6.2 harness will work for my truck or not

Is this truck a DD? With this swap itll be down for a while if you plan on swapping this 6l80e to.

As ive told you...its pretty cut and dry swap by the looks. Only issue i can see is the ac stuff which can be swapped out im sure. Next will be tuning you just have to trick the ecm to having your vin.

I say it will be down a while if your swamping motor and trans, unless you have everything you need and knock it out in a weekend. Once its in and running i think you run into the issue of tuning. It can be done but i've heard from a few different people that it takes time. Take pictures though id love to through the 6l80e in my truck.
