Default 07 classic cam position sensor location

where is it? front or rear? on what? the reason im asking is because i dont want any suprises when im doing my cam swap next week.

Its in the rear of the engine next to the oil pressure switch..... Same spot as if there was a distributor.... You wont have any problems with the sensor when doing the cam swap..

what he is trying to figure out is when did they move the sensor to the front of the eng. and what do you do about it when you swap cams out with a cam for a regular ls1.

no I haven't. But the cam sensor location hasn't changed if it's an 07' classic... Its the same Gen 3 engine.

Yeah, the 07 classics still use the Gen 3 engine so the loc hasn't changed. Its just the 07-up NNBS that have gone to the LS2 based Gen 4 where the cam sensor is located in the diff location.

At least that is my understanding.
