Default 04 yukon denali "iDEAS" REMOVE THE AWD AND MAKE IT 2WD

I have a 04 yukon denali Im wanting to completly remove all the awd. Everything Transfer case, front diff, ect.
I want to completly convert it to RWD only.
Does anyone know anything.
Will a transmission and drive shaft fit out of a 2wd yukon?
What can I expect with the computer?

Not looking for other ideas like "sell it"
I plan to sell the AWD parts to partly fund the swap/conversion

Not sure why you want to ditch the AWD but anyway, the transmission is the same it just needs a different output shaft and the 2wd tail shaft housing. Naturally the driveshaft will have to be changed, good chance one out of a 2wd yukon will fit you may just have to take some measurements.

? just swap a 2wd 80e in there if your serious... why remove AWD? or make 80e awd.

I been through 6 60es with 3 gm trucks already... my 2wd Tahoe has a 80e in there.

I want to convert it to RWD because I live down south and drive 100% of time on pavment. I pull a trailer with a little weight and I would like the extra power and over long term I dont want to have to maintain or haul around all the AWD part of the drive train. I figured I could just swap the transmission to a 2wd, move the crossmember figure out a drive shat.
I dont know anything about the computer or what I will need to do.
If anyone know of any thread please post

you are not going to gain anything noticeable by switching from 4wd to 2wd. IMO all the cost of doing that, the money can be spent else where making more power instead. something that will be atleast noticeable.

For the cost of the swap, it would be better, and easier to do an intake, exhaust, and a good tune. you will notice much more power and you will still have better traction when you tow.

I do 100% of my driving on pavement also and live as far south as you can get and I wouldn't take my add out or ha e another vehicle without it. I would leave it. Your talking thousands of dollars in mods with no better results.

Just keep in mind, your AWD in your Yukon Denali is tied into your ABS, so that is a issue that will need addressed also. What you have to do I am not sure.

I just took a manual shift transfer case and new driveshaft. 2wd or 4wd but I used it for 2wd fun. Then swap out and put it back in awd in a few mins.

I have a 02 denali xl and I was starting to have a problem with my transfer case which was the couplers starting to go up front . So I removed the front drive shaft 2 years ago and have been driving it like that perfectly fine ever since .
