04 yukon denali "iDEAS" REMOVE THE AWD AND MAKE IT 2WD
#21
Hey... I'm in the middle of this now and was hoping for your insight.
I have a 04 yukon denali Im wanting to completly remove all the awd. Everything Transfer case, front diff, ect.
I want to completly convert it to RWD only.
Does anyone know anything.
Will a transmission and drive shaft fit out of a 2wd yukon?
What can I expect with the computer?
Not looking for other ideas like "sell it"
I plan to sell the AWD parts to partly fund the swap/conversion

removing the front wheel drive driveshaft leaves a hole in the transmission... any idea how to plug that hole.
and how do I bypass the error code from the transfer case encoder so that I won't have computer problems?
ive got the cv axle issue worked out and want to try to leave the transfer case out when I get my truck back together.
Thx

If its a non selectable awd trans case, it uses a vicous coupler, removing the front driveshaft and driving the vehicle will destroy the transfer case.
