Hahaha! I think he'd kill me! I really prefer the NV3500 shifter in my rcsb best. I'm gonna check the local pick and pull for one every time I go. Might chop the head off and weld a threaded rod so I can run different shift ***** because I do like that Hurst ball a lot.

Or most likely do what I always do and leave it as is lol.

this time last year, i would've offered to sell you my stock 3500 shifter...
but my wife's been wanting to practice driving stick more often before we get her a manual car, and the hurst is a little too finicky to learn on - especially with a cam & gears (and power steering that quits half the time i try to turn left) - so i put the stocker back on for the time being.

and the core replicas are crazy - i remember being on the phone with a hurst rep about buying a real hurst shifter for $160 new but decided not to & then kicked myself 5yrs later when cores were the only ones around. i paid that same price for a used one.

i'll have to come back & find this when i eventually find myself with a mom-mobile. it'll be the only way to make it drivable!
so fortunately for us, we just picked my wifey up a smaller mom-mobile that GM already did the dirty work with 4.56s to boot
it just needs a 408 & a bigger trans... and a heat gun to get rid of that big gay across the bottom of the doors

...but getting it home brought me back to this thread for my truck. driving to work yesterday sounded real bad & i wouldn't be surprised if i need to 4500 swap now.

I like that color a lot! I usually close my eyes when an H3 passes by but that's not repulsive.

haha, she says thanks!

just replaced the windshield & shocks this weekend; was gonna do brake pads but the discount tire splined lugnuts are smaller than the ones on my truck, so my key didn't fit. speaking of keys - turns out the key to our safe works on the roof rack bars which was a miracle because they're aftermarket as opposed to the factory ones that specified which of the 5 lock cylinders GM used.

but for real, i'd like to at least do a LH8 swap (Gen4 5.3 from the H3 Alpha) with maybe a baby cam because it's been done a couple times with the stock trans (no other transmissions easily go in) without killing things... at least on a bob-tailing DD. and the 4.56s won't be that bad - even with a v8 - once the 34s get installed (soon-ish).

a 3500 or 4500 in there would be better than the aisin, but packaging says otherwise. AND... i ain't gotta fab up some franken-AWD setup. it's factory.

Wait what motor is in those? The 5 cylinder thing? Are they based on the Colorado platform?

Clearly I know nothing about H3s.

What's the interior look like?
