this is probably a dumb question but exacty how do tc's work. if its a 3200 stall does that mean it will not move at all until 3200 rpm's. any help would be appreciated.

it will move but it will feel like the trans is slipping until the specified stall speed. and when its to the floor when it shifts it wont or shouldnt drop below the stall speed. it basically keeps your motor in its powerband

so for everday driving it wouldnt be too comfortable at around 3200. i am thinkin maybe like a 26 or 2800 stall. but i like a aggressive running truck so i just dont know if i need to just go with the 3200. i have never ran a diff stall so i am not sure on what to go with

the less power you are making the less the stall speed...at part throttle it should only feel alittle looser then a stock converter...I have a 3200 in my Turbo Buick and it feels fine driving it around.

It's not as bad as it sounds. Converters will flash stall (when you just floor it from a stop) to a higher rpm than when brake stalled. Certain mfg's converters are 'tighter' than other's (how much it grabs at partial throttle).
A converter should be matched to a cam but even a stock cammed truck will benefit with a 3000 rpm stall. I wouldn't go much higher if planning to tow or haul very much and don't forget to install a quality aftermarket transmission cooler.

Look into the Yank tt3000. Can still tow, good driveability, and are tighter than most 3000 stall convertors. PM Sent

I love my TT3000!!! driveability is great..... expect about 800rpms above the stock converter around town and if you are gettin on the on ramp or somthing you will see 2200 or so.. Mine flashes to 4000 when towing a trailer in boost...

like trevor1t said install an aftermarket cooler because driving with the stall on the street does make the tranny a lil hotter than stock convertors would. and put a shift kit in if you havent already. itll def. be fun then
