Myself, I'd say go for the 6 spd. but do some upgrades to it. T56's & clutches seem to lead a rough life in our heavy trucks. Then again, something w/. power won't be all that friendly to em either. A part of me still wants to do T56, but w/. what I just threw in, it's not gonna happen. Those Magnum T56 boxes are stout pieces if that's what you're after, but they're $$$$. Yes, I checked.

Well the whole idea of me wanting either is the idea of havingstd. Shift in a truck (something car makers today have shied away from) and as much as I want the 6 gears the tremec 5 spd is designed for high performance and I'm hoping to be in the 600 - 800 rwhp range....and better yet the tko is like 500 cheaper than the t56

also remeber that these hp number ratings dont work for trucks, they weigh a 1000 punds more than a mustang or f-body. if you go through and up grade the t56 it will be fine but a stock t56 with a 400 whp truck will come apart, belive me look at the pics i posted
