Default RED04REGENCYRST needs some help

Hey guys, my brother nees some help/advice. Wednesday night he shifted hard into 2nd and broke the spider gears in his Eaton LSD. What would be the best way to fix this. We know they sell rebuild kits (which if anyone has a link to a decent priced one would be great) but would this fix or would he have to get another LSD?

Thanks

PS - he just told me he sheared teeth off the spiders

no this is the eaton limited slip diff. the aftermarket one. im lookin to see if anyone knows where i could get a rebuild for this, or if it is just better to say the hell with it and get something else.

if this is where i should just replace it, what should i go with a a strong replacement for a dd/track toy?

not to be a PITA but i need the info asap. thanks for any help you can give me.

yeah man i love it. i posted up some vids of the truck in the media section of some messin round after i got the intake on. in the last vid i hit second and the truck jumped like a bucking horse, and thats when i broke the driver's side axle gear, took three teeth off of it. i had told my bro it was the spider but found out later it was the axle gear. so much for eatons "virtually bulletproof rearend" lol.

by the whats the difference between the lsd and the trutrac other than the lsd uses clutches and the tructrac doesnt?

the trutrac's use heical gears to spread the load out over the whole gear vs the spider that puts the load on one tooth of the straight cut gear

and there are no clutches in the trutrac
