Default Question on tire rubbing on a 2/4 drop?

Im really thinking about lowering my 06' 2/4 drop and would be driving on my stock 17's for quite awhile till i got the funds for the 20's,am i going to have any bottoming out or tire rubbing issues on the front? Im pretty sure my tire size now is 245/70/17........any help would be greatly appreciated

i get rub on my 20's, but only when turning sharp at slow speeds..... they rub on the inside somehow. my brother has 22's on his and doesnt rub? who knows?

i run 285/50 20's i would think a little bit narrower tire would not rub 275/55 20 ?

275/55 would rub worse; its taller.

You should be fine with 245/70 17's and a 2/4. I've seen some with a 4/6 and that tire size and no problems. The stock wheels tuck very nicely and the tire isn't wide enough to cause problems.

no ****. i said mine rubs on the sides, not the top of the tire.

a narrow tire wouldnt do that. i have plenty of clearance top to bottom.

I run 275/40/20 with a 4/6. 28.75" tall tire I had to roll the rear fenders and it rubs of I hit a hard bump. Otherwise no problems. See sig.

a 275/55 is not even a half inch taller than a 285/55. so if ur having side to side issues go to a 265 or 255, I had 255s on my truck with the SS wheels but hated how skinny they were so good luck.
