Default Brake Pad Upgrade

What is a good brake performance upgrade in brake pads for an 02 ECSB Z71 5.3? Material & brand?

i'm not sure of the exact model, but i got a set of powerslot slotted rotors and EBC pads and i noticed a good improvement even with 5400lbs and 33" tires to slow down.

word on the street is that factory ceramic pads on stock rotors with SS lines is about the best bang for your buck without spending ludicrous amounts of coin.

So factory ceramic pads and stainless steel brake lines.....sounds simple but effective, and not very expensive, hopefully. Where would you aquire those from? Ball park cost?

My rotors are thick and true, so I hate to mess with them.....unless a light turning would take off any glazing that has possibly built up....is that possible, or probable? Better to leave them alone?

ceramic pads are just AC-Delco ones, so you can get them at any dealer, gmpartsdirect.com, or perhaps from AC-Delco themselves. SS lines could likely be had from Jegs/Summit/etc type of place. Mind you, I haven't actually done this to my truck yet, but its certainly on my to-do list after doing some research about it on the forum(s), hence my saying doing those things are the best for the money from what I've heard.

As far as your rotors, I'd call up and ask some brake places and see what they say. Don't talk to just one in case they tell you one thing just to make a buck. I'm gonna have to get mine turned a bit cause they have some vibes in them, and I don't want to prematurely wear my new pads or cause me more issue with the rotors later on down the road. If you do need to get them turned a small bit, I don't see that costing much at all, but who knows.
