Default Pinion angle WAY off after Belltech 4" rear drop install...

I did install the supplied pinion shims, still not even close. I see that 6 and 8 degree shims are available. Has anyone else had this issue? The pinion literally points upwards towards the bed floor. Just to clarify, this is a shackle/hanger kit.

I did 6 degree shims when I did front hangers and rear shackles on my 2006 single cab long bed.

Do some measurements and see what you will need.

I believe my kit came with 3 degree shims? Maybe 2. Right now, I am at 0 when I measure from both ends of the driveshaft. If I stick the angle finder on the bottom of the housing, it reads about 12 degrees. The amount that the pinion is tilted upwards is extreme. I have not driven it for fear of damaging something.

I believe I measured on the yoke(s) itself. I rotated each end to get the flat side down on each. Sometimes a spacer is needed to clear the driveshaft using a bigger angle finder.

I didn't stick the angle finder on the housing itself.

With my DJM flipkit, I still had to use a 2-degree shin and adjust my center support bearing before I could get all the noise out of mine.

if you are able, get the blocks that have an angle built into them.

I am an R-tard. I kept thinking about this, and looking under the truck... I had the shims in backwards. Fat end towards the back of the truck. I flipped them around a few minutes ago, viola! -2 pinion angle now. I ordered 6 degree shims just in case. I'll drive the truck on the highway after I have it aligned, see how it feels. Hopefully ZERO vibration.
