Default Circle D torque converter. Turbo silverado. Need some input

Build:

02 Silverado
Extended Cab Short Bed
6.0
78mm turbo
Installing a 4L80E

I'm needing a torque converter and was looking at the Circle D HP series 278mm with 3000-3200 stall. Will the stall speed be closer to 3200 given the weight of my truck?

Thanks

You need a single disk or multi-disk.

Sure, it will work for a little while but do it right the first time.

A 258mm 3200 single disk would make the turbo light off pretty quick.

I've been looking and ran across TSI converters also. They have a 10" billet, 2900-3200 converter for 700.00. It seems to be a step up from the circle D. Most likely call TSI tomorrow to get more input.

I'm sure that they will agree with you that it's a step up from a Circle D.

Circle D will build it to stall at what ever horsepower you say you are producing. If you make less power than what they build it for it will likely stall lower, and if you make more power it will stall higher. How much I have no idea.

Guys at Circle D has and had always answered any questions or issues I had. Best customer service is why any converter I use/ install in a car/truck is theirs.

As far as converters, I agree with Madman and thats what we need in out heavy trucks against these little RCSB trucks
