Default my 4l80 swap

Truck 2006 crew cab 5.3 with 1 piece alum. drive shaft and 2001 4l80e

has had every problem imaginable. after 3 very long days we got the truck on the ground today just to get it started and get the fluids moving as we are still waiting on a segment swap from HP. ran out of time so i didnt get to mess with the last few problems and we figured we would wait and see what the segment swap fixes but wanted another opinion.

1. we drove the truck but had to command the shifts with HP, obviously no segment swap yet but we have codes p0740 tcc and p0785 3-2 shift solenoid.. are these direct errors from not having the segment swap?

2. also when you shift back into park the doors unlock like normal but a few seconds later they re-lock, could this be something with the shift cable/switch?

few other problems we had was first we couldnt find the right u-joint for my stock driveshaft to 4l80 yoke, we got one that wouldnt fit by maybe 1/8th inch, finally emailed the seller from ebay and he straightened that right up. stock 80e joint didnt seem to fit the th400 yoke from ebay, we tried a few different ones

then we had a dowel in the trans and the block on the same side relizing after the trans is under the truck (no lift) after beating on it drilling a hole in it and finally air hammering it out that was solved.

the bolts just below the 12 oclock on the trans on each side do no line up, got all the other bolts in tough. anyone else have this issue?

the cross over on my trick performance kit didnt clear one ear on the transmission that holds on the converter dust cover on so we had to just cut one off with a sawzaw..after the trans was bolted in of course this was realized.

also put in a 2 bar map to do an sd tune as soon as all this is sorted out and possibly meth will be next.

opinions, comments, and any info/help welcome.

yea just waiting on the email for the segment swap, first one we sent with the 80 files was locked so we had to send another, and just emailed them if we need to send mine with the new 2 bar map. been about 24 hours and they say up to 48.

stall is a circle d 3200 multidisc..from the short drive today its bigger than i had planned but i got a deal on it and it will definitley be sick on the truck but it is a daily driver

Did you change the wiring around and wire in a Front speed sensor also?

Yep. We we repinned the trans plug and wired the rear speed sensor to the pcm. Just saw you said front speed sensor. Is the front the one that needs to be wired in?

Yes, the front gets wired in, the rear uses your stock speed sensor from the harness.

As far as the bolt holes lining up, I had that issue too, except the only one not lined up for me is the one in the 2 o'clock position, everything else came right together. I thought it was the oddest thing.

Front speed sensor gets added, the rear uses the existing one already in your harness. And those codes should be due to a lack of a segment swap as the 80e does not use those circuits. You cannot expect it to operate correct with out the tuning side of it done.

I know we still need the segment swap. We were just playing while were waiting on it. There is a selection for a trans in hp tuners and we selected the 4l80. What does this do?
