I just picked up a 10k mile 6L80 from an awd Denali. It has the transfer case still attached too, but I was wondering if anyone knows what I need to convert to a 2wd truck. Im sure I'll need a tailshaft housing and a new driveshaft, along with the proper column shifter assembly. But Im wondering whether or not the existing output shaft will work. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I beleive you will need a crossmember.
i think texas speed had a kit.

 

I am pretty sure you have to swap output shafts like the 4l60/80.

 

Output shafts are different between the two.

 

Spoke to Vince via email today. He has limited experience with them at the moment, but we shall see....
