This is really cool! I have a question thou.

Is it possible to swap front brakes from a 05+ truck to a 99-04 truck? The reason i ask is the fronts on 05+ are bigger (1 inch i think) than the 99-04. So if you did the rear suv brakes and 05+ fronts that would be a pretty decent brake upgrade. any thoughts?

Yes, I did the 05+ fronts as well. You need caliper + bracket and new rotors...

It is a marked difference in stopping ability and for much less than aftermarket. You absolutely must have 17" or bigger wheels to run them though.

so 05+ fronts.

Are the 04 trucks rears the same as 99-03? I assume since they went to drums in 05, so i can still do the tahoe upgrade right?

What size difference is there in the regular rotors and the 05+ and tahoe rotors?

Here are the specs on the brakes rotors.

Single piston-18 mm thick
Double piston- 28 mm thick

The diameter is the same only the thickness varies. I made the mistake of purchasing the wrong rotors. I knew about this mod, just didn't want to spend the money on new calipers and brackets.

theres also a 30mm rotor, which is the one i used. the Z71s and Escalades use that one. the rotors i used came off a Z71 suburban, JH6 brake option.

and no sharpshooter, they won't work. you need to use the correct rotors and brackets

Do the tahoe calipers have the banjo bolt in the same location?
I am having trouble fitting wider 16" rims and wanted to use these instead of s10 calipers.
