The TruTrac is a limited slip differential and not a locker although it is a mechanical unit. Most of us on the boards run them and I'm not familiar with any issues. Mine has been in for 30K limes and performs flawlessly

I beat the ever living snot out of mine and love it. Ended up jacking it before the truck left. My 08 has 100,000 mile warranty, but the Detroit is going in. I feel wayyyy more comfortable with it vs. the G-80.

For drag racing I would consider a detroit locker if I were to do it again. Mostly street driving the truetrac is a good choice.

on my old truck I had a Tru Trac and worked badass! I'm gonna order one for my Z71 and for my future project I have in mind I'm ordering a Tru Trac for it as well.

I have a True trac and couldn't be happier. Everything about it is better than than the Generic 80 IMO. The price was better than the Eaton offerings, and after watching one get beaten on regularly in a near 500 RWHP Silverado I was sold.

Good unit at a fair price.

best one out there IMO.... ive yet to see one break, the guy that though had broken one a short while back ended up being that he used synthetic oil instead of the regular, he drained the synthetic out and put regular oil and it all worked like its suppose to....

i would buy it again for sure..
