Default Found a 1999 4L80E

I've been thinking long and hard that my built T56 won't last long trying to move a 5000# truck with 600 rwhp on the way. I shopped around locally and found a 2wd 4L80E from a 99 GMC 3500 with 74K miles for $600. The truck had a bad engine. Sound like an okay deal? I'm gonna pull the pan before buying, it shouldn't need a rebuild, but I may put in an HD2 kit.

Searching said that this was a good year to have. If I pulled the trigger on this, I will be making custom oil cooler lines, so the location of the ports shouldn't matter, correct?

Will the wiring be straight forward?

Driveshaft length on my extended cab?

My driveshaft length stayed the same when I did my swap... just requires a different yoke and u joint.

Wiring takes about 15 minutes. You need to purchase a VSS sensor and some wire to run to the pcm up front. Then swap 3 or so wires in the big plug that plugs into the side of the trans.

I bought -6 AN fittings for the transmission off of ebay and made -6 stainless lines going to and from my trans cooler.
